This motorcycle dash cam is a high-performance device designed to enhance rider safety and convenience. This kit was very simple to install. The hardest part was running the wires. You just install the cameras where you want them and then run the wires to the control panel. You then connect the wires to the battery. If you have an ACC port, you can connect the third wire to that so the power is cut off when the bike is off. If not, you can connect that wire to the positive post on the bike also. However, the unit will not shut off when the bike is off. There is an on/off button on the control panel, though. The screen is pretty small, but very clear and bright. I don’t have the screen set to show the front camera because it takes up ¼ of the screen and I would rather see what’s behind me more clearly. The unit automatically records both the front and rear cameras when you turn it on. I’ve noticed that the cameras will start recording by themselves a short time after I manually stop recording. You can add a micro SD card up to 512GB, but the onboard 128gb seems to be plenty. It will record over the oldest data when full. It has a G-sensor that will protect the footage from being overwritten in the event of a crash. Some of the settings I could only find on the app, switching camera views, for example. Connecting to the app requires a bit of effort. You have to turn on the Wi-Fi on the display panel, then connect your mobile device to that network. Then you can connect with the app. After you’re done on the app, you have to turn off the Wi-Fi on the camera display before exiting the settings. I really like this system and it displays a ton of information. However, something this involved really needs a detailed user’s manual. What comes with it is pretty basic.
